Proper pronunciation is difficult to learn in a second language when you do not have access to a native speaker model. Often a language learner is not aware of the mistakes they are making. This evaluation, administered by a trained Pronunciation Specialist, will cover all of the sounds in English, as well as word stress and common prosodic contours in both read and spoken speech. You will receive a report via email within one week of the evaluation.

Pronunciation is a major contributor to difficulty being understood in another language. Even when the speaker is aware of what errors they are making, they may not have the knowledge or skill to correct themselves. During our accent modification sessions a pronunciation specialist will work with you on specific errors and improving overall intelligibility. The first session will always be an evaluation to assess your current level and future goals.

Despite strong English skills, when you converse with native English speakers, do you feel comfortable and easy to understand? When you talk with our conversation partners, always a native speaker of English, you will get an accurate language model. Not only will you be exposed to current slang, proper pronunciation, and social uses of language, but you will receive corrections on your language when it might lead to misunderstandings. You can choose the topic(s) of focus.
